For a free online valuation:

Enter your vehicle's registration and mileage, and car details followed by your email address, postcode and mobile number.

Your online valuation will be guaranteed for 5 days. This gives you the flexibility to book an appointment at a time that works for you and protects you from market fluctuations.

Selling your vehicle:

Arrive at your chosen hensonbuyanycar branch at your appointment time.
Our purchaser will inspect your vehicle and conduct a short test drive before offering you a price.
If you're happy for us to buy your car, our purchaser will help you complete all the necessary paperwork.

What should I expect at my appointment?

1. Arrive with your vehicle at our Henson Car Buying site
2. Our purchaser will appraise your car and carry out a short test drive
3. Our purchaser will offer you a price to buy your car.
4. If you do decide to sell your car, our purchaser will run through all the relevant paperwork and arrange for the money to be paid into your chosen bank account. You have the option to upgrade your payment to receive the money faster (an additional fee may apply).
5. We update the vehicle logbook (V5C) Notifying the DVLA that your car has been sold and as a result this will cancel the road tax and a refund (if applicable) will follow.

If you do decide to sell your car, please ensure that you have made arrangements for your return journey.

What should I bring to my hensonbuyanycar appointment?

Documents:

V5C logbook.
Service history and/or paperwork.
Any extras (e.g. locking wheel nut).
Spare key(s) and bookpack

Your ID:

Photographic proof of ID (e.g. driving license or passport).
Proof of address from the last 6 months (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement). If addresses do not match then we will request further information.

Financial details:

Your bank details (so we can set up the payment).
If your car has outstanding finance, you must provide an in-date letter from the car finance company confirming the settlement amount. The 3 important details we require on the settlement is the agreement number, settlement amount and the finance company bank details.

If you do decide to sell your car, you will be leaving your car with us. Please ensure that you have made arrangements for your return journey.

What cars do you buy?

We buy cars vans and pickups with:

Outstanding finance.
Private registration plates.
Damage (or in need of repairs).
At least 1 month or more MOT.

You can also sell a vehicle on behalf of a family member, friend or company (including in the case of bereavement). In these circumstances, it is necessary to bring extra documentation.

How and when will I be paid when you buy my car?

By default, payment will be made directly to your bank account within 2 working days after the day of the sale, using our standard electronic bank transfer service. There is no charge for this service.

We also offer a same-day option to selected customers for an additional fee of £24.95.
