What is a Car Supermarket?

  • Car Supermarkets, also known as Car Hypermarkets, are similar to independent dealerships except they are on a much larger scale. Due to the high volume of car sales, customers benefit from a great selection of choice, quality and savings.

What will I need to bring with me to purchase a new car?

  • UK driving licence showing your current address (The paper and card sections both need to be brought for new style cards).
  • Bank Statement or a utility bill dated in the last 90 days.

If I am trading in my car for a new one do I need to bring any other documents?

  • V5 Registration documents
  • Current MOT certificate
  • Service history documents
  • Keys, including spares

How can I pay for my car?

You can pay for the vehicle by which ever method suits you best. You can use cash or credit card or you can save your cash and take advantage of one of our finance options.  Please see our finance page for further information.

Does Henson Motor Group accept Part Exchanges?

Henson Motor Group is happy to accept Part Exchanges. We accept cars, vans, motorbikes and caravans. Pop into one of our showrooms at your convenience and see what we can do.

Henson Motor Group is authorised and regulated by the Financial Service Authority (FSA) for the purposes of insurance mediation activity.

Do I need a deposit?

  • Henson Motor Group do not require a deposit, however if you have a car to part exchange, we will take it as a deposit, regardless of the age or condition, with or without an MOT.

Can I finance my car at Henson Motor Group?

We offer many flexible tailored solutions to finance your new vehicle. Our team of dedicated finance and business specialists are ready to help and advise you of the available options. Please see our finance page for further information

Will my new car have a warranty?

We offer a range of warranties for up to 4 years, all come with an unlimited mileage allowance.

Many of our cars, however, still carry part of the original manufacturers’ warranty. For those that don’t we will include a 3 month warranty* within the price.

What happens if my new car is stolen or becomes a total loss?

We would recommend that you take out either one of our GAP or RTI Insurances. Please see the Finance Page for further information on the GAP and RTI Insurances that we offer. 

What are the documents I require for finance?

  • A full UK Driving licence (showing your current address - photo card and counterpart must be produced.)
  • Utility bill (dated within the last 3 months)
  • Any other proofs required by the finance company.

I have some outstanding finance on my current vehicle.  Can I still buy another car?

Outstanding finance is not a problem at Henson Motor Group. Our highly trained staff can handle all that for you. You can settle any outstanding finance (even if you owe more than your car’s value), often reducing your payments and upgrading your car with no cash needed.

Do I need to make an appointment to visit?

There is no need to pre-book an appointment unless you would like to reserve a car. Our opening hours are Mon - Fri 9.00am - 7pm, Sat 9.00am - 6pm and Sun 10am - 5 pm.

Can I arrange my finance before visiting?

If you wish to save time before visiting one of our showrooms, we offer the option of pre-arranging your finance. Call our dedicated finance team now on 0845 226 1818 and they will sort everything out before you visit.

How are the vehicles prepared?

Henson Motor Group carry out an extensive 125-point* vehicle inspection before each vehicle goes on sale and a new 12 months MOT*. If the car needs new tyres, exhausts, clutch, pads, shoes etc or if we envisage items wearing out soon, we will replace them*.

How can I keep my new car looking new?

Henson Motor Group is a fully authorised DiamondBrite Centre. DiamondBrite coats your car with a hard, high-gloss protective paint sealant which prevents road salts, traffic film, acid rain, tree sap, insect fluid and other atmospheric pollutants from permanently damaging your car’s paintwork. Allowing you to maintain that “Straight from the showroom look”.
